LYST Parent Steering Committee Meeting

Minutes

Old Business:

• Minutes from last meeting submitted and accepted
• Financial report: Norah reported that several checks are still coming in from other teams. There are still a few families who owe for the NASTY Invitational.

New Business:

• Pictures: Swimmers need to be here approximately 9:30 for pictures (individual) and approximately 10:30 for team picture. Order forms are in swimmer mailboxes
• Beth Daugherty is taking pictures of individual swimmers for Bios
• LYST Invitational:
• 16 teams are invited to the invitational. So far, excluding LYST swimmers, there are 196 swimmers on Saturday, and 245 on Sunday
• Concessions- “Stingray Café” in hallway by old exit area
• Heat Sheets- Trish is working on completing them. We will copy 50 each day. Lori and Beth have volunteered to make copies when they are ready.
• Equipment- Sound system going to gym and second floor
• Eagle Gazette-Has been contacted, and may do a story on the event.
• Volunteers/Credits- There was some confusion as to whether or not home meet credits and Invitational credits were interchangeable. The answer is “no,” and it was clarified that all families need to earn 2 credits for home meets, and 1 credit for the Invitational. Diana Spurgis distributed a list of who had earned credits so far. Also, volunteer sign up for the Invitational must be done by 11/9, or the $50 deposit will not be returned.
• Apparel- 150 Shirts being ordered for the Invitational
• Other:
• Pasta Party-the party is scheduled for February 3, 2007. There will be a DJ, swimming and dance from 7-10. There is a luau theme being considered at this time.
• Jim would like to remind everyone to forward any pictures that they may have of meets or swimmers to him for the End-Of-Year banquet and slide show.
• Kastaways has not yet filled all of the swimsuit orders. There will be a call made to them this week to determine a tentative date.
